Overtime, the natural effects of ageing, smoking, and exposure to environmental factors like UV from the sun and pollution can negatively impact the smoothness of our skin.

A common result of ageing is the appearance of wrinkles, caused by a breakdown of the skin’s proteins. Many people choose to undergo wrinkle correction treatment to revitalise their skin and achieve a more youthful appearance.

What is wrinkle correction?

Wrinkle correction treatments use injectable products to reduce muscle movement beneath the skin, smoothing out wrinkles and helping to prevent them from reforming.

What does the procedure involve?

Wrinkle correction procedures are relatively quick and simple, and you should not feel any significant discomfort. After cleaning the area skin with an antibacterial agent, we apply a topical anaesthetic.

The injections only takes a few minutes per focus area.

Unlike dermal fillers, the effects of wrinkle correction are not immediately noticeable. It will take 3 to 5 days to begin seeing results and up to 2 weeks to see the full effects of the treatment.

How will I feel following wrinkle correction?

It is common to experience some swelling and discomfort immediately following a wrinkle correction treatment.

You can alleviate these symptoms by applying an ice pack to the area or taking over-the-counter painkillers. Avoid massaging the treatment areas for a few days.

Is wrinkle correction a permanent procedure?

To maintain the results of wrinkle correction injections, you will require a top-up treatment every 4 to 6 months.
