Each veneer is made from a thin layer of porcelain and is bonded to the surface of the tooth to disguise minor imperfections, misalignments, or gaps. We can also use veneers to improve the appearance of heavily stained teeth.
Veneers are most appropriate for patients who have healthy teeth but are unhappy with the aesthetics of their smile.
Veneers can be used to correct imperfections such as:
• Chipped teeth
• Teeth that are shortened due to grinding
• Discoloured teeth that do not respond to teeth whitening
• Gaps and minor alignments issues that don’t require braces
• Teeth that appear too large or small for the shape of the face
Our expert cosmetic dentist will clean your tooth and shave off a tiny amount of enamel from the front surface. This procedure creates an optimal surface for bonding the veneer.
After the porcelain veneers have been fabricated our dentist will then place the veneer in the correct position and check it for fit and colour, before bonding it to your tooth.
